The Story So Far….

It was agreed to lease ‘The Shed’ [In the grounds of Dalmuir Community Centre], from West Dunbartonshire Council from the 1st March 2016 and Clydebank Shedders attended their first Committee Meeting on the 20th April where As you can see, it`s not in great condition but Men’s Shed Clydebank members have both the experience and the ability to restore the building… over time. The hut was used for many years as a store by Clydebank 6th Troop Scout Adventurers.

We are completely free to join

We have around 50+ Men’s Shed members, 20/25 regular attendees. Our Youngest 36 and oldest 84! Some of our more able bodied have prioritised the upgrading work needed through various funding to make it a place where we can choose to either, work, relax, make and repair things, pursue hobbies and pastimes, get practical help with projects, share skills and make new friends, have a cuppa, a chat, a laugh and get out of the house for a while. This is a 1600 sq ft Shed , including a stand up loft area, two main rooms and two smaller rooms plus a kitchen area. One large room will be a social area, to sit back and read, chill out, and put the world to rights. The other room is a workshop with tools and workbenches. Much refurbishment work is still in progress but any help is more than welcome.
